Privacy Policy

Kistka does not collect any data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no network connection of any kind — everything you enter stays on your own device.

What Kistka stores, and where

All of the following is written only to storage on your iPhone or iPad, inside the app's own sandboxed container. None of it is transmitted anywhere, because Kistka has no server to send it to.

• Your planned and in-progress eggs — the egg type, division, colour order and step checklist you create in Kistka.
• Your dye shelf — the jars you add, their colour, dye kind, mix date and bath count.
• Your Finished book — the date, recipient and any note you record for a finished egg.
• Photos you take with the camera or choose from your photo library for a Finished book entry. These are copied into Kistka's own on-device storage as image files; the originals in your Photos library are never modified, and no photo is ever uploaded.
• App settings — your haptics, sound and evening-reminder preferences, stored using Apple's UserDefaults on-device storage.

Camera and photo library access

Kistka asks for camera and photo library access only when you choose to attach a photo to a Finished book entry, and only for that purpose. You can decline either permission and still use every other part of the app — you'll simply use the egg's own drawing instead of a photo.

Notifications

Kistka can send two kinds of local notification, both scheduled entirely on your device: an alert when a dye bath timer finishes, and an optional daily evening reminder naming the next step of an egg waiting on your bench. Kistka does not use push notifications and sends no data to any remote server to schedule or deliver them.

No tracking, no third parties

Kistka contains no analytics library, no advertising library, no crash-reporting service and no other third-party SDK. It makes no network requests at all, tracks nothing across other apps or websites, and shares nothing with anyone — including us.

Children's privacy

Kistka is a general-audience craft reference and planning tool. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Removing your data

You can reset the app to its example content from Settings, or remove all of Kistka's data at once by deleting the app from your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date above.
